Sanitation Contracts in Argentina

Proactiva Medio Ambiente, S.A. (50% FCC, 50% Veolia Environnement) has signed a number of sanitation contracts in Argentina valued at more than 160 million dollars.

In Avellaneda (356,000 inhabitants) it has renewed for six years a contract for trash collection, street cleaning and waste removal. The total turnover is expected to reach 80.3 million dollars. The FCC Group signed its first contract with this municipality in March of 1996.

In the province of Misiones, with a population of 683,765 people, a contract for the transportation, treatment and final disposal of solid urban waste has been extended through the year 2016 under which 100,000 tons of waste will be treated annually at the existing facilities: two sanitary landfills, 22 transfer stations and an autoclave for pathogenic treatment.
