FCC Ámbito wins the tender for the environmental management of Airbus Group plants in Spain

Airbus Group has awarded FCC Ámbito the contract for the environmental management of three new plants, two of which are located in the province of Madrid, in Getafe and Barajas, and another in the town of Illescas in Toledo, for Airbus Defence and Space and Airbus Operations.

FCC Ámbito wins the tender for the environmental management of Airbus Group plants in Spain

The contract will be for five years, creating a backlog of 20.2 million euros

FCC Ámbito has been providing its environmental management services in the five factories the Airbus Group has in the Andalusian provinces of Seville and Cadiz since 2011. With this new contract, FCC is now the management company of all of the Airbus Group plants in Spain.

The scope of the service entails developing support and maintenance operations for the environmental management, energy and environmental correction systems for each facility, in addition to comprehensively managing the waste they produce.

The most noteworthy criteria that led to Airbus choosing FCC Ámbito out of the eight bidding companies were:

The high level of knowledge that is required from service providers in the aeronautical, space and defence industry in terms of quality, safety and continuity, and which FCC Ámbito has proven to have.
