The leading representatives of the company that were involved in the project were present at the ceremony. Eduardo González, General Manager of FCC Energy, said that this initiative by FCC, the citizen services group, is another step forward in "our commitment to the development of electricity for automotion".

The system enables a vehicle battery to be fully charged in 6-8 hours. The new power points are compatible with all vehicle brands and models.
The charging stations are in line with FCC's environmental commitments and they will gradually be extended to the rest of the building's parking spaces and other FCC buildings, in pace with demand.

Following the inauguration, the new power points were demonstrated with EPISOL, an electric vehicle powered by a fuel cell and solar energy that was developed by CEMUSA, the FCC subsidiary specialised in urban furniture, in cooperation with research centres INSIA and CSIC; the demonstration also featured Citroën's C-Zero electric vehicle, in line with the MoU signed by FCC and Citroën.

Under the MoU, the two companies will conduct preliminary studies and research into electric cars and negotiations regarding a potential supply of electric vehicles for FCC's "e-mobility" initiative in Spain.

As a citizen services group, FCC is willing to make commitments to environmental responsibility and to promote initiatives which reduce the environmental impact of its activities.
