FCC Construcción is the first construction company in the world and the first company in Spain to register a Sustainability Report in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative's G3 Standard.

This is FCC Construcción's second Sustainability Report; last year it was also the first construction company in the world to present a sustainability report "in accordance" with the GRI standards.

The Report, which analyses the organisation's activities in research, development and innovation, seeks to provide stakeholders with transparent information about the company's actions in line with its voluntary decision to report regularly on its social, environmental and economic performance, in line with the Global Reporting Initiative's 2002 Guidelines.

New features this year: the report maps its indicators to the new G3 standard and also includes the United Nations Global Compact Communication on Progress.

The document was drafted with advice from the Entorno foundation and was validated by AENOR; it will continue to be published ever two years, alternating with the Environmental Report (now in its fourth edition).
