FCC joins #ForTheClimate Community Initiative
FCC Group, through FCC Environment and FCC Construction, has joined the Community Initiative #ForThe Climate. We are committed to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from our activities through the implementation of good practices and contributing to the Fight for the Climate. Being part of the pioneering #ForTheClimate initiative links us to a community of people, companies, organisations and public administrations who want to play an active part in the fight against Climate Change. This initiative emerged from the project that brought to COP-21 in Paris more than "One Million Commitments" to the climate by Spanish institutions and citizens.
The new project aims to highlight two of the big issues in the fight against climate change:
1.- We must ALL act: the fight against climate change is not the responsibility of a single sector, but a collective challenge.
2.- We have to act NOW: every day we discover new information that alerts us to the point of no return at which we are arriving across many of the parameters of sustainability, and we must insist on the idea that we are the last generation that can stop the disaster. That is why we must move from commitment to action with a sense of urgency - and get down to work.
