Fernando Moreno, Chairman of FCC Construction, distinguished by the Association of Civil Engineers with the medal of professional merit

The Association of Civil Engineers has awarded the medal of professional merit to Fernando Moreno, Chairman of FCC Construction. The medal, which recognises people with an outstanding professional track-record, will be presented at a ceremony in Madrid on 5 June.

Fernando Moreno graduated from the Madrid School of Civil Engineering in 1973. That same year he joined Dragados y Construcciones S.A., where he remained until 1986.

In 1986, he was joined FCC, as Head of Civil Engineering in the Madrid area for the company Construcciones y Contratas, S.A. Some years later, he was appointed Manager of the Central Spain Area. In 1996, he was appointed General Manager of Seragua, FCC's water management subsidiary. In 2000, he became General Manager of Aqualia, the end-to-end water management company resulting from the merger between Seragua and Veolia's water management companies in Spain.
He has been Chairman of FCC Construction since March 2013. Mr Moreno has been with FCC, the Citizen Services Group, for more than 28 years.
