FCC Chair attends farewell for Enrique Iglesias from the Ibero-American General Secretariat

Their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Asturias presided over a dinner last night organized by the Spanish chapter of the Latin American Business Council (CEAL) in honour of Enrique V. Iglesias, in recognition of his work at the head of the Ibero-American General Secretariat since its foundation in 2005. Esther Alcocer Koplowitz, Chairman of FCC and Vice-Chair of CEAL, attended the event.

The Prince and Princess of Asturias were accompanied by authorities including Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, Spain's Deputy Prime Minister, José Manuel García-Margallo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Ana Pastor, Minister of Infrastructure, and José Ignacio Wert, Minister of Education, as well as numerous representatives of business and members of the diplomatic corps.

HRH the Prince of Asturias commenced his address by noting that Enrique Iglesias has been at the helm of the Ibero-American General Secretariat for the last eight years, and that he has accomplished his mission, notably his "excellent, intense work, through which he brilliantly fulfilled the tasks entrusted (...) by the Ibero-American Heads of State and Government".

CEAL is a network of the leading entrepreneurs in Latin America. It was established 24 years ago with the principal mission of stimulating its members' participation in trade and cooperation, in all aspects where private enterprise can contribute to strengthening reciprocal links and to the nations' social and economic progress.
