Concessionaire
Murcia Tram. In April 2009 the Murcia City Council awarded a contract for the construction, maintenance and operation of line 1 of the Murcia Tram (17.76 kilometres and 28 stops) for 40 years. The contract was signed on 7 May 2009.FCC has a 60% interest in the concession holder. Currently the project is in the construction phase, which will end in the fourth quarter of 2010.
Torrejón de Ardoz Hospital. The Community of Madrid awarded the contract for full management of Torrejón de Ardoz Hospital for 30 years in August 2009. This is only the second hospital in the Community whose contract calls for the concession holder not only to manage non-health services but actually to provide health services as well. The hospital will have an area of 62,000 m2 and 240 beds, and it will provide coverage for more than 133,000 people. FCC represents 66.67% of the construction company and has a stake of 5% in the capital.
Mallorca health centres. In late 2009 the Health Service of the Autonomous Community of Islas Baleares provisionallychose a consortium featuring FCC Construcción to receive the public works concession contract to build, keep up and operate five health centres and five basic health units. In January 2010 the award was made definitive. The contract's term is 11 years long.
D.1.3 Motorway, Slovakia. In August 2009 the Slovak government awarded the contract for the construction and maintenance of phase three of motorway D.1 for 30 years to Zlinská Dial'nica, a consortium in which FCC holds a direct25.5% interest (20.04% through FCC Construcción and 5.01% through Alpine) as well as a 24.95% indirect interest through Western Carpathian Motorway, a special-purpose vehicle organised to include financial investors.
New Acute Hospital for the South West. Western Health and Social Care Trust has signed a concession contract with the Northern Ireland Health Group consortium, in which FCC Construction is the largest shareholder (39%), for the design, construction, financing and operation of the new hospital in Enniskillen, in Northern Ireland (UK). The project represents an investment of approximately 270 million pounds sterling (300 million euro).
Barcelona Metro Line 9. At the end of 2009, IFERCAT (Infraestructures Ferroviaries de Catalunya) awarded a 32-year contract to build and maintain 13 stations and the corresponding ventilation shafts on section I of Barcelona Metro Line 9. The investment will amount to 1 billion euro, of which 876 million euro will be for construction.
Cedinsa Eix Llobregat. Concession to build and operate the shadow toll road between Berga and Puig-Reig (Barcelona), and to maintain the S. Fruitós de Bages-Puig-Reig section, all on the C-16 highway (Llobregat corridor).
Cedinsad'Aro. In December 2005, Cedinsa was awarded a 33-year concession to design, build and operate the 27.7-km. Maçanet-Platja d'Aro shadow toll road, consisting of the section of the C-35 between Vidreres and Alou and the operation of the Maçanet-Vidreres section of the C-35, the Alou-Santa Cristina d'Aro section of the C-65 and the Santa Cristina d'Aro-Platja d'Aro section of the C-31. Construction was completed in 2008 and the road became operational on 1 January 2009.
Cedinsa Ter. In 2006, FCC Construction was awarded the concession for the 48.6-km. Vic-Ripoll shadow toll road, including 25.2-km. of newly-built road between Centelles and Ripio. The concession is for 33 years: three years for construction and 30 years' operation.
Cedinsa Eix Transversal. The 33-year concession for the 150-km. Transverse Corridor shadow toll road, representing an investment of 712 million euro, was obtained in June 2007. The contract consists of designing, building and operating the Cervera - Caldes de Malavella section (C-25). The bulk of the construction work involves adding extra lanes to the C-25.
Urbicsa. This company was awarded a contract to build, maintain and operate the buildings and facilities of the Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat combined Halls of Justice project.
Autovía Conquense. In 2007, the Infrastructure Ministry awarded FCC Construction a 19-year contract to operate and maintain the section of the A-3 and A-31 roads that run through the province of Cuenca.
Tema Concesionaria, S.A. FCC Construction was awarded a 40-year concession to refurbish and operate the new headquarters of Mallorca Radio and Television.
World Trade Center Barcelona, S.A. 50-year concession to operate the World Trade Center buildings in the Port of Barcelona (36,000 m2 of offices and commercial premises, 6,000 m2 of conference and meeting rooms, and a 280-room hotel).
Parc Tecnologic World Trade Center Cornellà, S.A. This company is developing a complex comprising seven office buildings, a shopping area and a 27-floor apartment hotel. The first phase has been completed, consisting of three buildings with a total floor area of 37,500 m2, a 500-space underground car park, and a 10,000 m2 landscaped plaza.
Autopista del Itata. 13-year concession to build and operate the Concepción-Chillán toll road in Chile; it comprises a total of 98-km. of operational roadway with average daily traffic of 5,278 vehicles in 2008.
Autopista del Aconcagua. 15-year concession to build and operate the Ruta 5 Santiago- Los Vilos toll road in Chile; it comprises a total of 218-km. of operational roadway with average daily traffic of 10,538 vehicles in 2008.
Autopista Trasmontana, in Portugal. This company has a 30-year concession to build and operate the hybrid toll road between Vilareal and Braganza; it comprises a total of 194-km. of roadway that is currently being designed and built.
Autopista Central Gallega Española,S.A. This company has a 75-year concession to build and operate the 56.8-km. toll road between Santiago de Compostela and Alto de Santo Domingo.
Compañía Concesionaria del Túnel de Sóller, S.A. Two-way toll tunnel through the Alfabia hills on the road between Palma de Mallorca and Sóller.
Terminal Polivalente de Castellón, S.A. concession to build and operate a 9.5 hectare terminal for handling containers and general cargo in the port of Castellón.
Autopista de la Costa Cálida. 36-year concession to build, operate and maintain the 98-km. toll road between Cartagena and Vera and the 16-km. toll-free Cartagena bypass.
Metro Barajas Sociedad Concesionaria, S.A. Concession to build and operate the new 2.5-km. Metro line linking the old terminals at Barajas with the new Terminal 4.
Madrid 404, Sociedad Concesionaria, S.A. Concession to design, build, maintain and operate the 27-km. section of the M-404 highway between the M-407 and the M-506 as a shadow toll road.
Marina Port Vell, S.A. Administrative concession from the Port of Barcelona, with 413 wide berths and 4,800 m2 of commercial premises.
Concesiones Aeroportuarias, S.A. 50-year concession to build and operate Castellón airport. The airport will be situated between Benlloch and Villanueva de Alcolea in a privileged location that is less than 50-km. from anywhere in the province.
Nàutic Tarragona, S.A. 30-year concession to build and operate the Tarragona marina. The port has 417 wide berths, 95% of which had been sold or rented in 2007, and 8,000 m2 of commercial premises, all of which have been sold.
Oligsa. 30-year concession to build and operate a 168,000 m2 bulk cargo terminal in the Port of Gijón.
Portsur Castellón, S.A. This company holds a 35-year concession to build and operate a bulk solid cargo terminal in the southern extension of the Port of Castellón, involving 300 metres of quay-front and 60,000 m2 of adjoining esplanade.
Hospital del Sureste, S.A. 30-year concession to build and operate the new hospital in Arganda del Rey (Madrid).
Scutvias, Autoestradas da Beira Interior, S.A. Shadow toll road in the Beira Interior region of Portugal. The 198-km. road is divided into eight sections.
Madrid 407, Sociedad Concesionaria, S.A. Concession to design, build, maintain and operate the 11.6-km. section of the M-407 highway between the M-404 and the M-506 as a shadow toll road.
Concesiones de Madrid, S.A. 25-year concession to operate, as a shadow toll road, the 14.1-km. section of Madrid's M-45 beltway between O'Donnell and the N-II.
Túnel d'Envalira, S.A. 50-year concession to build and operate the 3-km. toll tunnel connecting the Grau Roig ski resort to Pas de la Casa, as part of the Barcelona-Toulouse route connecting Spain and France.
Tranvía de Parla, S.A. 40-year concession to build, supply rolling stock, operate and maintain an 8.5-km. double-track tramway in Parla (Madrid).
Transportes Ferroviarios de Madrid, S.A. 32-year concession for the 20-km. extension to Madrid Metro Line 9, between Vicálvaro and Arganda, including 3 intermediate stations.
Ruta de los Pantanos, S.A. 25-year concession to widen, manage and maintain the M-511 and M-501 roads between the M-40 and the M-522 roads in the Madrid region (21.8-km. total).
M-50 Concessions Ltd. 35-year concession to build and operate the M-50, Dublin's main beltway. The project consists of widening 24-km. of road and maintaining it plus another 19.3-km.
Nuevo Necaxa-Tihuatlán. AUNETI, S.A. de C.V. 30-year concession to build and operate an 85-km. toll road from Nueva Necaxa (Puebla state) to Tihuatlán (Veracruz) in Mexico.
Autovía del Camino, S.A. Concession to build and operate a shadow toll road between Pamplona and Logroño. The 70.25-km. road will be built in five phases.
Port Torredembarra, S.A. 30-year concession to build and operate the Torredembarra marina (Tarragona).
Tramvia Metropolità, S.A. 25-year concession to build and operate a light railway connecting southern Barcelona with the towns in the Baix Llobregat district.
Tramvia Metropolità del Besòs, S.A. 27-year concession to build, operate and maintain a light railway linking the North station and Olympic Village in Barcelona with Sant Adrià del Besòs and Badalona (15-km.).
Metro de Málaga. 35-year concession to design, build, supply rolling stock and operate Málaga Metro Lines 1 and 2.
Ibisan Sociedad Concesionaria, S.A. 25-year concession to design, widen, maintain and operate a 14-km. section of the Ibiza-San Antonio road.
Marina de Laredo, S.A. Concession to build and operate a 540-berth marine plus 497 m2 of commercial premises, a car park and a dry dock at the Port of Laredo (Cantabria).
S.C.L. Terminal Aéreo de Santiago, S.A. 21.5-year concession to operate and exploit the Arturo Merino Benítez international airport in Santiago de Chile.
Autopistas del Valle, S.A. 25-year concession obtained in June 2004 to build and operate the toll road between San José and San Ramón in Costa Rica.
Autopista San José - Caldera. 25-year concession to build and operate the San José Caldera toll road in Costa Rica.
Concesionaria Túnel de Coatzacoalcos, S.A. de C.V. 30-year concession to build and operate the Coatzacoalcos underwater toll tunnel in Veracruz, Mexico.
Hospital de Son Dureta. 30-year concession to build and operate the new Son Dureta University Hospital in Palma de Mallorca.
N6 Galway - Ballinasloe. 30-year concession to build and operate the N6 Galway-Ballinasloe toll road, which is part of the strategic East-West Dublin-Galway corridor, under the National Development Plan. The road is scheduled to be opened in 2010.
Accesos de Madrid, CESA. Concessions to operate the R3 and R5 shadow toll roads. The R3 is a 33.9-km. shadow toll road between the M-40 and Arganda del Rey. The R5 is a 28.3-km. shadow toll road between the M-45 and Navalcarnero, parallel to the A-5. The concession is for 50 years.
R-2 Autopista del Henares (Henarsa). concession to build and operate the 62-km. R2 toll road between the M-40 and Guadalajara.
Circunvalación de Alicante (Ciralsa). 36-year concession to build and operate the 28.5-km. Alicante bypass.
Metro Ligero de Sanchinarro. In 2006, Metro Ligero de Madrid, S.A. obtained the contrast to operate and maintain the 5.4-km. light railway linking Pinar de Chamartín-Sanchinarro-Las Tablas and Madrid Metro Lines 1 and 4. The concession period is 30 years.
30-year concession to design, finance, build and operate the first section of Austria's A5 toll road. This is Austria's first toll road concession; it is 51-km. long and includes building a first partial section of the A5 from Vienna towards the Czech Republic, between Eibesbrunn and Schrick, as well as extending Vienna's north-east ring road, off which the S1 and S2 high-speed roads will be built.
