United States

Cementos Portland Valderrivas owns 100% of the share capital of Giant Cement Holding, Inc., which has a cement factory in Pennsylvania and another in South Carolina. It also holds a 65% share of CDN-USA, which has a factory in the state of Maine and facilities for producing concrete and aggregates.

Cement Division

Through the three production plants of Giant Cement Holding, Inc., and CDN-USA, the cement division distributes and sells cement all along the east coast of the United States.

The factory in Harleyville (South Carolina) and CDN's factory in Maine are converting their clinker furnaces from the wet process to the dry process.

Concrete Division

This division does business through the Dragon Products Company. With ten concrete-mixing plants in Maine, it is the state's largest concrete distributor.

Aggregate Division

This division produces standardised aggregates. Aggregate production is associated with two factories in the cement division, Keystone Cement (Bath, Pennsylvania) and Dragon Cement (Thomaston, Maine).

Recycling Division

Giant Cement Holding, Inc., is a leader in the development of safe methods for generating energy from waste and using waste as a source of fuel.

Through its subsidiaries Giant Resource Recovery (Grr!), Keystone Cement, Omni and M & M Chemical, Giant offers the safest solution to waste destruction problems. They treat industrial waste so that it can then be re-used to manufacture cement and light aggregates.

Prefab Division

The Group has a block manufacturing facility belonging to CDN-USA in Madawaska, Maine, in the northeast United States.
