Domestic projects

Projects that are being performed individually or with other Spanish partners, either self-funded or funded by the PROFIT 2005 programme conducted by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, or with funding from IMADE (the Madrid Institute of Development) under the Finance and Technological Innovation Department of the Community of Madrid.

  • The Arfrisol Project, a study of bioclimatic architecture and solar energy use in buildings.
  • The Hatcons Project, high-efficiency concrete in underwater construction.
  • The Shotec Project, the development of sprayed concrete to support tunnels.
  • The Reto Project, reduction of the effects that construction has on land.
  • The Guadarrama Tunnels Project, a comparative study of the operation of the tunnel-boring machines at Guadarrama and analysis of cutting machines.
  • Project to develop the LEI and SEIS applications for on-site inspections using computerised devices.
  • The Brick Factory Project, investigation of different existing pathologies and development of a new anchoring system.
  • Two research projects financed by the European Union and known as the Brite Euram programme (development of design and testing methods for prefabricated concrete components using metal fibres) and the Growth programme (use of low-cost stainless steel for concrete reinforcements).
  • Organisation of several proposed projects for the sixth framework programme of the European Union. It has also presented a research proposal to the European Union's Directorate General of the Environment as part of the Life programme. The project deals with the reuse of waste from the construction industry.
  • Projects presented to the Profit programme sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the object of which is the study of alternative aggregates and soils and wireless devices for controlling construction site inspections and other uses.
