Accessibility

FCC focuses on corporate social responsibility out of a conviction that its ethical behaviour and social and environmental commitment do not arise just from the imperatives of fairness and justice but are also profitable by improving working conditions and generating relations of reciprocity and acceptance in our milieu.

Not only are people with disabilities entitled to access, in conditions of equality, to the goods and services that companies make available to the public; they are also a major stakeholder group that no leading company of FCC's calibre can ignore.

Images

All images on this site have "alt" attributes with text descriptions, excepting purely decorative images, which have an empty "alt" tag.

Links

Most links whose text does not fully describe the target have a "title" attribute with a clarification.

Some browsers (e.g. JAWS, Home Page Reader, Lynx and Opera) may extract the list of links from the current page and enable the user to browse using that list. Because of this, links are not duplicated and any duplicate links lead to the same content.

No JavaScript pseudo-links are used. All links can be followed in any browser, even if JavaScript is disabled.

Only links to external sites open in a new window. We cannot provide any assurance that the content of such external pages will be accessible to all devices.

Visual design

Relative font sizes are used. Accordingly, users may vary the font size using their browser functionality.

This web site makes extensive use of cascading style sheets for page layout, and tables are only used when required to display tabular data.

Page content is still legible even if your browser does not support cascading style sheets.

Acronyms and abbreviations

This site uses acronyms and abbreviations. Visual browsers which support this feature display a dotted line underneath acronyms and abbreviations; hovering the cursor over the acronym or abbreviation displays an extended description of its meaning.
