80,000 inhabitants In order to serve the 80,000 inha - bitants of the municipality, the ser - vice will have a staff of 130 peo - ple, which will make it possible to reinforce work shifts and increase the frequency of street sweeping at night to avoid disrupting urban life. In addition, the increased efficien - cy of the facilities, located in diffe - rent parts of the city and designed to have a minimum energy and water consumption and favour the recycling of the waste generated, will improve the adaptation of the services to the municipality. The contract will be supported by an innovative technological pla- tform that will allow direct com- munication with citizens in real time, where residents will be able to comment, suggest or make re - quests through different media, which will be attended to and re- solved as soon as possible. Energy efficiency One of FCC Environment’s strategic policies is centred on the sustainability of its activities, especially in minimi - sing negative impacts on the environment. This strategy is manifested in analysing production processes through the prism of innovation, so that the minimum amount of energy is consumed and, as far as possible, from re - newable sources. Furthermore, for years it has been implementing a management system certified by AE - NOR based on the UNE-EN ISO 9001 and UNE-EN ISO 14001 standards, in accordance with European EMAS standards.
