Camino Martínez, an administrative assistant at Aqualia, is also a European champion in adapted swimming with six gold medals, three world records and five European records. For yet another year FCC has joined in the celebration of Inter- national Women’s Day, which is commemorated every year on 8 March. This is a date on which the Group wanted to show its aware- ness of the campaign “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow”, launched by the Uni- ted Nations and UN Women as a call for recognition of climate ac- tion by and for women. The com- pany has also joined the cam- paign of the Women’s Institute and the Ministry of Equality of the Spanish Government. These actions are part of the FCC Group’s commitment to achieving an egalitarian, diverse, equitable and sustainable future, in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) contained in the international organisation’s 2030 Agenda, which seeks to create more inclusive, peaceful and sus- tainable societies that incorpora- te the gender perspective. For FCC, this day has become a space for reflection in which it recalls its principles, and at the same time informs about its commitment and vision: abso- lute rejection of any type of dis- crimination and a commitment to diverse, inclusive and authentic companies with equal opportu- nities as one of its fundamental pillars. To this end, the company held a commemorative event at its corporate headquarters in Las Tablas (Madrid). The event was presented by Isidoro Valverde, D I V E R S I T Y D I V E R S I T Y 5
