To achieve such an ambitious Agen- da, it was agreed that participation from everyone is necessary: gover- nments, businesses, civil society and citizens around the world. The agreement’s strength comes from its universal nature and its ambitious 169 goals. Achieving them requires an unprecedented effort on the part of all sectors of society, and businesses have a very important role to play in this endeavour. This means commit- ment from the public sector, busines- ses, investors and civil society. We are living in unprecedented ti- mes, marked by major global cha- llenges such as the climate crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic and the increase in the number of conflicts worldwide. This critical situation threatens to jeopardise the 17 Sus- tainable Development Goals. Now more than ever, it is important to mobilise and take action in favour of sustainable development to con- tinue having a positive impact on people and the planet. reactivation, generating quality jobs in the communities in which it opera- tes.
