The Catalunya II branch covers the provinces of Lleida and Tarragona, managing all kinds of contracts related to the collection and mana- gement of solid urban waste, street and buil- ding cleaning and gardening contracts. In the province of Tarragona, solid waste collection and street cleaning services are provided in the city of Tarragona, the most important of the delegation, as well as those of the Consell Comarcal del Tarragones, Baix Penedes and Baix Ebre and Montsià. In the province of Lleida, on the one hand, the solid waste collection service is provided in the Consell Comarcal de La Noguera, Garrigues and Pla d’Urgell, and also in the town councils of smaller municipalities. On the other hand, in the province of Lleida, the management of the Lleida waste treatment plant has recently been awarded. FCC Medio Ambiente is in charge of waste co- llection, street cleaning, garden maintenance, cleaning of premises and waste disposal, and currently employs some 950 workers.
