ESG criteria stand for ‘Environmental, Social and Governance’, which refers to the environmental, social and corporate governance factors that are taken into account at the company level. The ESG criteria cover the following aspects Environmental aspects Climate action through the transition to a low-emission economy and energy efficiency, and the efficient use of resources by applying the principles of the circular economy: reuse, repair, recycle and focus on increasing the useful life of materials. It also refers to the responsible mana - gement of raw materials and resources, such as water, and the maintenance and preservation of natural capital, biodiversity and ecosystems. Social aspects Refers to contributing to social, cultural, eco - nomic and labour development and welfare, in which the commitment to the protection of human rights is very present. We also refer to contributing to the economic and social develo - pment of communities and society, through soli- darity, education and social investment. Another of the lines of action focuses on the generation of quality jobs, in which talent is encouraged and opportunities for personal and professional growth are created, on the development of wor- kplaces where the safety, health and well-being of people are paramount, and on the promotion of the principles of equality, equity, and the com- mitment to diversity and inclusion. Good governance aspects It is related to management efficiency, cyberse - curity, compliance, and those values and princi- ples that guide and mark actions and strategies. The commitment is aimed at creating ethical and upstanding environments, promoting responsible and exemplary behaviour, ensuring legislative and regulatory compliance, transparency in our actions, and fostering independence and diversi- ty on boards of directors. The strategies are also aligned with stakeholders and with the supply chain itself, suppliers and contractors, genera- ting relationships of trust and joining forces in the common goal of sustainable development.
