More than a century building cities

FCC has been involved in construction since 1900, initially through Fomento de Obras y Construcciones (FOCSA) and, since the mid-1950s, as Construcciones y Contratas, S.A. (CYCSA), although each company operated separately.

The company initially operated in Catalonia, mainly in the construction sector. The contracting in 1911 of cleaning and maintenance services for the Barcelona sewerage system was a milestone in the company's history, establishing it as a pioneer in diversification policy.

The parent company FCC was created in 1992 from the merger of two companies: Construcciones y Contratas (1944) and Fomento de Obras y Construcciones (1900). Since then, we have worked to become a company that provides quality services to citizens every day.
