"The Municipality: A History of Urban Services"

The book entitled "The Municipality: A History of Urban Services", published by FCC, has been presented at the headquarters of the Royal Academy of History. It is part of a series which FCC has been publishing during the Christmas holidays for the last eleven years.

"The Municipality: History of Urban Services" is a historical account which begins in Roman times, when municipalities were first established, and ends in the present day, when urban services have reached a high level of development and complexity.

The authors of the texts are the academics Gonzalo Anes, José María Blázquez, Ángeles Hijano, Rafael Manzano, Ramón Queiro, Carmen Sanz Ayán and Luis Suárez. The book closes with an appendix of Spanish town halls arranged by the architect Fernando Chueca, from medieval, renaissance or baroque to modern and contemporary buildings.
