The Madrid City Council has awarded FCC a contract valued at 29 million euros to enlarge the platforms on line 3 of the Madrid Metro at the Puerta del Sol metro station.

The length of the station will be extended from 60 m to 90 m to operate the line with the modern, higher capacity 3,000 series trains. Includes a new access from calle de Preciados. It is a very complex Project in the heart of the city centre that must be carried out with transportation services operating as usual.
