Aqualia, in a joint venture with Canal de Isabel II and Sufisa, is the winner of a contract put out to bid by the Town of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) for a 25-year administrative concession for municipal water services valued at 310.5 million euros.

The service will be provided by a staff of 71 employees, most in newly created jobs, and will use the most modern management methods, such as 24-hour customer service, telecontrol systems and geographic information system (GIS) all of which will, among other things, considerably reduce the losses from distribution networks which can currently be as high as 45%.
