Audit and Communication take seats on FCC's Management Committee

In accordance with a resolution adopted by the Board of Directors at the proposal of the Chairman and CEO, and following a favourable report from the Appointment and Remuneration Committee, Miguel Hernanz Sanjuan, Head of Internal Audit, and José Manuel Velasco Guardado, Head of Communication and Corporate Responsibility, have joined FCC Group's Management Committee.

Internal Audit

The purpose of the Internal Audit unit, which is hierarchically dependent on the Chairman of the Board of Directors and functionally reports to the Audit and Control Committee, is to provide FCC's highest executive bodies with effective supervision of the Group's internal control system.

Miguel Hernanz Sanjuan (Segovia, Castilla y Léon, 1969) graduated in Economics and Business Studies from Madrid's Autonomous University. He joined FCC in November 2005 as Deputy Head of Internal Audit, following 12 years as an auditor (PwC).

Communication

The Communication and Corporate Responsibility unit, which reports directly to the Chairman and CEO, Baldomero Falcones, is in charge of all the Group's external and international communication functions, both in Spain and in the group companies in other countries, as well as institutional relations, brand and corporate image management, advertising, and corporate social responsibility policies.

José Manuel Velasco Guardado (Avilés, Asturias, 1965) graduated in Journalism from Madrid's Complutense University  and completed the Advanced Strategic Program at the Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne (Switzerland). He is specialised in strategic planning of communications and social responsibility.  He joined FCC in June 2009 as Head of Corporate and Institutional Relations and Branding; he was formerly in charge of Communications at UNION FENOSA and Renfe. 

Energy

Alejandro Seco Barragán (Madrid, 1977) has been appointed Head of Investment Planning and Analysis in the Energy division. He graduated in Business Studies and     Economics from ICADE and has an executive MBA from London Business School. For the last 11 years he has been with UNION FENOSA, where he held various senior positions in the areas of finance and investment in the power generation division.
