Baldomero Falcones appointed Chairman of Alpine Supervisory Board

Baldomero Falcones Jaquotot, Chairman and CEO of FCC, has been appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Alpine Holding GmbH. With this appointment, FCC, the Citizen Services Group, is seeking greater integration with its subsidiary in Central and Eastern Europe.

The appointment of Baldomero Falcones is a further step towards strengthening management of Alpine, following the appointment of Johannes Dotter as CEO some months ago. Mr Falcones has an extensive track record in international business. He was formerly Chairman of Santander Central Hispano Seguros, Banco Urquijo Hispano Americano Ltd. London UK, Hispano Americano Sociedade do Investimento Lisboa and Banco Urquijo Chile, among others, and was a member of the Management Committees of BHA, BCH and Santander Central Hispano for 15 years. He was also chairman of MasterCard International until its IPO on the NYSE. Mr Falcones was formerly Chairman of RWE Spain and, prior to joining FCC in 2008, was a founding partner of Magnum Capital Partners, Spain's largest private equity firm.
