Cementos Portland Valderrivas obtains AENOR OHSAS 18001 certification in all its plants

Cementos Portland Valderrivas has obtained OHSAS 18001 certification from AENOR for its cement plants in Alto, Hontoria, Olazagutia, Alcalá de Guadaira, Monjos and Vallcarca.

As a result, all of the group's cement factories in Spain have OHSAS 18001 certification, which not only ensures compliance with safety regulations, but also underlines the group's commitment to the health and safety of its workers.

With OHSAS 18001 certification, the company's workplace safety programme goes above and beyond the requirements of the Workplace Safety Act, encouraging a company-wide culture of safety.

Dieter Kiefer, Chairman and CEO of Grupo Cementos Portland Valderrivas, was presented with the certification by Manuel López Cachero, Chairman of AENOR, at an event at Cementos Portland Valderrivas headquarters; attendees included Fernando Serrano, General Secretary of Comisiones Obreras Federation of Construction, Wood and Related Workers (FECOMA-CCOO); Saturnino Gil, Secretary of Workplace Safety and the Environment of the General Union of Workers National Federation of Metal, Construction and Related Workers (MCA-UGT), and various members of company and management committees at Cementos Portland Valderrivas group.
