The public company, Gestió d'Infraestructures, S.A., (GISA), which reports to the Generalitat de Cataluña, has awarded a consortium led by FCC Construcción a concession to operate the Puig-reig-Berga section (Barcelona) of the Llobregat Artery under a shadow toll arrangement for 33 years.

The project entails converting the last 21 km of the Llobregat Artery into a dual carriageway and maintaining the road for the term of the concession. Among the work involved, there are four viaducts over the Llobregat River and a 380 metre tunnel. The construction contract is valued at 177 million euros.
