Cementos Portland Valderrivas and Fundación Adecco sign an agreement for labour market integration of people with disabilities

Cementos Portland Valderrivas has signed a cooperation agreement with Fundación Adecco to implement social and employment integration programmes for people with disabilities. The initial deal is for one year and may be extended by another three.

It was signed today by the CEO of Cementos Portland Valderrivas, Dieter Kiefer, and the Chairman of Fundación Adecco, Emilio Zurutuza Reigosa.

The main goal of the agreement is to enable Cementos Portland Valderrivas to hire people with disabilities, through Fundación Adecco. The foundation will provide training to the future employees to prepare them for the job, and will monitor their progress in the early months to ensure that they integrate smoothly.

As a fundamental component of Cementos Portland Valderrivas's social responsibility policy, it will implement the Familia plan for disabled members of employees' families. The Familia plan seeks to provide beneficiaries with sufficient personal autonomy and the necessary resources to actively seek employment, and provides training to favour their labour market incorporation as well as leisure and sport activities to foster their social integration.
