FCC donates 3,500 advertising spaces to ADENA for the EARTH HOUR CAMPAIGN.

FCC Group has donated advertising space on 3,500 bus stop billboards throughout Spain to WWF/Adena for the largest-ever campaign in defence of the environment, Earth Hour, scheduled for Saturday 28 March.

Earth Hour aims to involve governments, communities and businesses in a joint effort to call attention to the effects of global warming and demand that political leaders take action to control CO2 emissions.

Fighting climate change is a priority line of action in FCC's Corporate Social Responsibility Master Plan (2009-2010).

This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions from its cement plants through processes that are very energy efficient and using alternative fuels; developing sustainable transport, such as the Episol electric car; making its offices more environmentally benign; participating in bioclimatic architecture projects; and using energy-from-waste technologies.
