FCC to manage more than three million square metres of land in Tres Cantos

FCC has won a contract put out to tender by the Town Council of Tres Cantos (Madrid) to manage more than three million square metres of land in the ''Nuevo Tres Cantos'' sector of the Partial Plan.

Aside from any construction work to be performed by FCC, the contract, which includes urbanisation and land management, is valued at 227 million euros.

The plan calls for the construction of 7,240 new homes, 3,628 of which will be government subsidised. This plan also includes the allocation of land for tertiary, industrial and commercial use.

FCC will perform the urbanisation work and the connections to the M-607, which will include two new roads and two new junctions over the local and high speed train lines. The high voltage power lines in the area will be buried and the wastewater treatment plant will be enlarged to serve the new residents.

With the definitive approval of the Partial Plan, the Town Council of Tres Cantos has defined the master plan for the city's growth in the years to come.
