During the last assembly of representatives of the member countries of the European Ready Mixed Concrete Organization (ERMCO), held in Istanbul, the members of the governing board elected José Ramón Bujanda Sáenz, Spain?s representative in this organisation, as the President.

ERMCO has representatives from twenty European countries. Each member country has a representative who also represents its national associations.

José Ramón Bujanda, born in Pamplona, is a Civil Engineer and holds a diploma from the IESE School of Business. He is the Director of the Concrete Division of Cementos Portland Valderrivas. He is Vice President of the Spanish Association of Ready Mixed Concrete Manufacturers.

The member companies of ERMCO have a total of 7,000 factories which manufacture 330 million cubic metres of concrete each year.

In recent years, Spain has been the European leader in concrete production, with more than 80 million tons per year.
