FCC deploys about 2,700 employees and 400 trucks to clear snow from Spain's streets and roads

Responding to last night's snowfall in much of Spain, FCC has deployed the bulk of its human and material resources to make streets and roads passable. Approximately 2,700 people and close to 400 vehicles have been working since early morning.

In Madrid alone, FCC has mobilised 844 employees, working double shifts, and 125 vehicles, including snow-ploughs and salt spreaders.

In other cities such as Bilbao, San Sebastián, Vitoria, Oviedo, Segovia, Ávila, Salamanca, Pamplona and Zaragoza, FCC's assets are on the alert to clear streets of snow if necessary, and they have spread over 1,000 tonnes of salt.

Matinsa, an FCC subsidiary specialised in road maintenance, has deployed 300 people and 120 vehicles, which are working intensely on the roads of the Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, Aragón and Madrid regions.
