FCC celebrates the tenth anniversary of the SDGs with the launch of the campaign Do you watch or Take part

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In that time, we have travelled more than halfway towards achieving the 17 goals that make up the 2030 Agenda, aimed at building a more just, healthy, prosperous and sustainable future. That is why, once again, the FCC Group is celebrating SDG Week with the launch of the international photography contest on Instagram, ‘Do you watch or Take part?’.
The aim of this initiative is to encourage FCC employees to commit to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To this end, participants are invited to capture images that represent any of the 17 United Nations SDGs. This campaign seeks to connect staff through photography, promoting the eradication of poverty, protection of the planet, reduction of inequalities and improvement of people's lives around the world.
The photographs that participants initially publish as stories will subsequently be shared and highlighted on the FCC Group's corporate Instagram profile. The total number of likes each image receives will determine the order of the winners: the photograph with the most likes will take first place, the second with the most will take second place, and the third with the most likes will be awarded third place.
With more than 125 years of history, FCC is now one of the world's leading global operators, specialising in environmental services, integrated water cycle management, infrastructure construction and concession project development, with a presence in more than 25 countries and a workforce of 71,000 people. Its commitment to serving the public and constantly seeking innovative solutions gives it the confidence to look to the future with optimism. In line with this commitment, the company wanted to reflect this purpose by launching this photography contest, convinced that a picture can convey much more than a thousand words.
The company is committed to continuously addressing the challenge of the 2030 Agenda and has adopted the Sustainable Development Goals as its own. The FCC Group's Sustainability Policy provides it with the ESG approach necessary to meet the growing demands of its stakeholders and contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs, as well as promoting innovation. Since 7 May 2007, FCC has been a member of the United Nations Global Compact, the largest global initiative in corporate sustainability.
