FCC to participate at the Smart City and Iwater international congresses from the 15th to 17th November

Prestigious experts, politicians, companies and professionals from the environment and water sectors will gather at the congresses.

FCC Medio Ambiente will once again participate at the Smart City Expo World Congress, a key international event in the smart city sector. It is an unmissable event on the calendar and a place where public and private sectors meet to offer a vision of the future as regards cities and citizens, and to provide innovative solutions in the area of Smart Cities.

FCC Medio Ambiente will actively participate at the congress through talks and work meetings. It will also have a stand measuring over 100 m2, which will offer face-to-face and digital interactivity features. Furthermore, Zero Emission Electric Vehicles, which have been developed by the Citizen Services Group and provide urban services, will also be on show in the Smart Plaza and the outside exhibition area. The two main lines in achieving smarter, habitable and more socially responsible cities that FCC Medio Ambiente is to present this year are, on the one hand, policies regarding gender equality and the inclusion of disadvantaged groups and, on the other, innovative proposals with sustainable engines to improve urban mobility and to reduce the carbon footprint.

Additionally, FCC Aqualia is to participate in the first edition of Iwater, the International Integrated Water Cycle Show. Iwater was created with extensive sector backing and will combine business, investment, entrepreneurship, innovation and technology with strategic issues to develop the entire water value chain. Over the course of the event, the key points that define and establish future water management will be set out through 3 core and inextricably connected areas: resilience, governance and financing.

FCC Aqualia, one of the main sponsors of the first edition of Iwater, will have a significant role at the event by presenting its  solutions and projects, and by being part of expert panels and round-table discussions, in which Aqualia’s representatives will address the challenges that define the current and future reality of water management.

Furthermore, FCC Aqualia will occupy a 152-m2 stand that will act as the company's stage over the three-day show. The stand will be used to convey the company's ability to offer 360° solutions in the comprehensive water cycle and it will offer a full activity and presentation programme.

The participation of the Citizen Services Group at this kind of events is very significant. It allows FCC to not only establish business relationships, but also to show the company's interest in innovation and sustainability so as to provide efficient and effective solutions to the needs of cities and their inhabitants. Innovation has been in the DNA of FCC since it was founded over one hundred years ago. It is a permanent element in the activities it undertakes in the construction, environmental services and water management business areas.
