FCC Environment manages the service of seven of the ten cleanest cities in Spain

The Organisation of Consumers and Users has published the study conducted every four years on the neighbours' perception of cleanliness in Spanish cities. (Access the OCU website).

FCC Medio Ambiente (the Spanish brand for FCC Environment) is in charge of the cleaning services of seven of the ten best cities.

These seven cities are Oviedo, Bilbao, Vigo, Logroño, Pamplona, San Sebastián and Segovia, and except for one, all score more points with respect to the previous analysis. (Click here to read more about the 2015 study).
In the case of Bilbao, San Sebastián and Logroño, FCC leads a joint venture with another company in the sector.

The study of the OCU is based on the perception of citizens about the cleanliness of their city and shows that civic education and good management of resources are essential, in order to maintain a high level of satisfaction. To this end, FCC wants to thank all the people, institutions, workers and citizens, who make these cities the cleanest in Spain.

The FCC Group is a global leader in citizen services. The environmental services area of the company has been providing municipal services for more than 100 years and has based its success on a commitment to innovation and helping cities become smarter, more sustainable and more socially responsible. It currently serves almost 60 million people in nearly 5,000 municipalities in thirteen countries, with a network of more than 200 energy recovery and recycling plants that process 24.5 million tons of waste per year as a resource, including eleven energy-from-waste (EfW) projects with a capacity of more than 3.2 million tons and 360 MW of non-fossil electricity.
