FCC joins the celebration of World Environment Day, which is commemorated today 5 June under the United Nations (UN) slogan, "Solutions to Plastic Pollution".  

The 2023 #NoPlasticPollution campaign calls for global collective action to implement solutions to end plastic pollution. 

The Group works to promote biodiversity conservation and support the recovery of affected ecosystems. Contributing to the maintenance of natural capital is one of the priorities established in the FCC Group's Sustainability Policy.  

The company promotes the development of its activities always bearing in mind the conservation of natural capital, in line with its adherence to the Spanish Business and Biodiversity Initiative (IEEB) and the Biodiversity Pact. 

Given the particular characteristics of the FCC Group's different activities, their impact on biodiversity varies, as do the initiatives and programmes implemented by each of them. Some of the actions carried out are: revegetation of landfills with native species; conservation of ecosystems by planting trees; creation of habitats; development of wildlife rescue plans; protection and delimitation of areas of natural interest; prioritising the use of existing roads over the opening of new ones; promotion of agreements with nature protection associations, etc.
