CEMUSA bids on urban furniture tender for Paris

CEMUSA, the FCC subsidiary which specialises in urban furniture advertising, has participated in association with the North American multinational, Viacom, in a tender organised by the Paris City Council.

The object of the tender is the design, supply and installation of a fleet of bicycles for public use and general information urban furniture for a ten-year period.

200 bicycles stations and 3,000 bicycles will be installed. Parallel to this, the City will allow the concessionaire to install information panels containing local information or advertising, measuring 2 x 8 square metres, which will be defined in further detail during the tender process.

The contract award process is expected to last throughout the year 2006.

The association between CEMUSA and Viacom is exclusively for this tender.

CEMUSA is one of the FCC subsidiaries with the longest-standing tradition in international operations. It has already installed more than 110,000 advertising elements and supports in more than 120 cities in eleven European and American cities.

In September 2005, the city of New York chose Cemusa to install and manage the city?s urban furniture for the next twenty years. Cemusa will install bus stop hoardings, newsstands, and automatic public restrooms, among others. The urban furniture will serve the more than eight million residents of the city?s five burroughs: Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and Staten Island.
