Moroccan Airport Handling

Moroccan Airport Handling

Flightcare, a subsidiary of the FCC Group, has won the Kingdom of Morocco's international tender and will soon become the Moroccan airport system's second handling operator. This coup means an estimated turnover of over 70 million euros will be coming Flightcare's way.

Although the concession includes all the airports in Morocco, the busiest points in the system are the Casablanca, Agadir and Marrakech airports, which see a total of six million passengers a year. Passenger handling is currently a monopoly held by the state airline Royal Air Maroc.

The service concession will be for seven years; as its new holder, Flightcare came away the winner after competing against the world's leading handling companies.

The tender forms part of the plan the Moroccan government has rolled out to develop the tourism industry. Under the plan, the number of visitors to Morocco is anticipated to swell to 10 million in the year 2010.
