La Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias, S.A., attached to the Generalitat Valenciana, has awarded FCC Construcción, in a joint venture with a local company, a 27 million euro contract to urbanize the road linking the Paseo de la Alameda-Autovía El Saler (Valencia).

The project consists of the construction of the Serrería Bridge over the Turia River which will connect the Ciudad de las Artes with the city.

The project was designed by Santiago Calatrava and will employ some of the trademark features of this architect's work such as white concrete, sheets of water and granite paving stones.
