The European Commission has mentioned METHAmorphosis, a research project led by Aqualia, as an example of the LIFE programme in its report, “Two years after Paris. Progress towards meeting the EU´s climate commitments”.
The Rector of the University of Zaragoza, José Antonio Mayoral, and the Aragón-La Rioja branch director of FCC Medio Ambiente (the Spanish brand for FCC Environment) , Joaquín Jimenez López de Oñate, have signed an agreement for the creation of the "FCC Chair for Prevention of Occupational Risks and Human Resources”.
Ciempozuelos City Council has awarded FCC Medio Ambiente (the Spanish brand for FCC Environment) its street cleaning and urban solid waste collection services for a period of eight years. The contract amounts to more than €8.5 million with two possible extensions of two years each.
The security management undertaken by the FCC Group has been awarded by the prestigious security association ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security).
FCC ended 2017 with €118 million in net profit, a sharp contrast with the €161.6 million loss reported in 2016.
