Gestor de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias (GIF) has awarded FCC a contract to build the Amoeiro-Carballiño section of the high speed rail line between Orense and Santiago de Compostela, a contract valued at 118 million euros.

The project calls for the construction of a 12.1 km platform, 3.4 km of which runs over three viaducts and 2.5 km through three tunnels.

The company has 6 months to draft the construction project and 21 months for the actual construction.
