FCC Construcción, S.A. has initiated the process of concentrating its interests in infrastructure concessions to make the most of them.

To date this has involved three operations:

It has acquired from the Abertis Group and the ACS Group their interests in the Autopista Central Gallega concession, which accounted for 31%. FCC Construcción now controls 44.64%.

This 57 km long toll motorway connects el Alto de Santo Domingo in the province of Orense with Santiago de Compostela. The concession ends in 2073.

. It has purchased from Abertis one-third of the shares it possessed in the administrative concession for the N-II artery O`Donell-N-IV.M-45 section of the Madrid beltway.

Those shares accounted for 8.33% of the company's share capital which, added to the 25% already possessed by FCC Construcción, now totals 33.3%.

This 14.1 km section of the M-45 is operated under a shadow toll arrangement and the concession has a term of 25 years. In 2004, some 64,517 vehicles used it on a daily basis.

. It has sold to Iberpistas and to ACS, in equal parts, the minority shareholding of 15.75% it possessed in the Madrid R-3 and R-5 concession.

These operations have generated capital gains of two million euros for FCC Construcción.

FCC Construcción continues its international expansion in the area of infrastructure concessions. It was recently pre-qualified for a 50-year concession for the Indiana Toll Road in the United Status measuring 240 km long.
